What’s your dream tiny house?

If you had all the time and materials in the world, what kind of tiny house would you build?

Mine is sort of a cross between two Tumbleweed plans, the Weebee and the Lusby. The one element that I want is the sleeping area on the ground floor (not in a loft). Not that I couldn’t climb up a ladder into my bed every night, but I don’t wanna.

Inspiration to make a model struck one day. Here’s the result:

  1. I like the way you think. I’m not sold on the lofts, as (for my application) i will be moving it a lot using it as a camper, as well as (hopefully) living in it for a very long time and not wanting to climb any more than I have to. 🙂 It might just be the scaling in your model, or intentional, but the desk extends over the bed. That is a great idea as it gives more room on the desk and noes not interfere with the use of the bed. Little things like that generate ideas in my head to optimize space and usage, and will make my final design much better. Thank you for the ideas!

    • Michael, I know it’s hard to tell from this photo, but as I have it set up, the bed (squarish, white blob in the upper right corner) is next to the desk. The desk looks like a long rectangle, and you can see the chair in the center of the work area. The bathroom is the upper-left corner, the kitchen counter is the lower-left corner. The loft area (not pictured) would be storage. Hope that helps!
